Carmarthen is the county town of Carmarthenshire and is a vibrant and popular shopping and leisure destination. Carmarthenshire is also a strong tourist destination with over 3 million visitors a year. St Catherine's Walk is the prime retail and leisure destination in central Carmarthen and is home to the likes of Next, The Entertainer, Flying Tiger, Clogau and Vue Cinema. The Carmarthen Hwb is also going to form part of St Catherine's Walk which will be the centre of the local council's services. It will feature council offices, community facilities, some health and wellbeing services as well as providing space for the university. The Hwb is due to open in 2024 and will be a fantastic addition to the town.
