Sawtry is located approximately 8 miles north of Huntingdon, off of J.15 of the A1 motorway. The East Coast Mainline is located approximately 1 mile from the village with stations located at Peterborough and Huntingdon. The village has a population of 6,536 people (2011 census). Sawtry benefits from two public houses, a Co-operative supermarket, an Infant School and Sawtry Village Academy. The Greenways development is located in close proximity to the centre of the village and is surrounded by predominantly residential homes.
